This is my fourteenth year teaching, and my fifteenth year at Cedar Creek. I am very lucky to be part of the Cedar Creek family. I love being a third grade teacher and working with an amazing team. I have been in the educational field for sixteen years, beginning as a Paraprofessional Teacher's Aide in 2001.
I graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) in 1985 with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations for Small Theatre. Shortly after graduating, I married my best friend, Bill, and we moved to Southern California. In August 2002, I began an Online Master's of Education program at Michigan State University. My program was completed summer 2004.

Our son Bobby was born in 1992. During the summer of 2001, our family moved from Santa Clarita, California to Redding, Connecticut and then we moved again in 2003. Now, we are very happily settled in Austin, Texas. Bobby graduated from Westlake in 2010 and attended Tulane University. He graduated with a BS in Evolutionary and Ecological Biology and Political Science in May 2013. He works at Dragon's Lair and lives in Round Rock. His father and I are very proud of his achievements, especially his rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts of America.
During the summer 2014, we finished our last home improvement project, the master bedroom and bathroom, of our home on Thousand Oaks Drive. That fall, we decided it was time for a change. After living in the CCE neighborhood for over 11 years, we sold our home and downsized into an apartment. We love our renovated apartment with its fenced in yard, right next to the pool. We love our new urban lifestyle.
Over the years I've held a variety jobs including working as a florist, Ronald McDonald’s Southern California Road Manager, a church administrator, a bankruptcy paralegal, and the owner of a small business, Moonlight & Roses Gift Baskets. I have worn, and still wear, many hats, but my favorite jobs are wife, mother, and teacher.
I enjoy hanging out with my husband, taking care of my family and friends, home improvement projects, cooking, baking, playing all sorts of board and card games (and even some video games), reading, working on needlecrafts, traveling, hiking, and camping.
